Copeland Project
Mrs. Copeland has been a member of the Greenwood community for many years. She enjoys working in her yard and planting flowers but having a large yard can be a lot of work. She put in an application to have some yard work done and also hoped of having her carport repainted knowing this task would be too much for her. H.O.T. Youth was able to make it all happen. We immediately started the planning process and rallied a team of 8 volunteers, consisting of 4 youth and 4 adults. Volunteers were able to mow, weed eat, clean out flower beds and trim bushes while others were preparing to paint the carport. This project took about 8 hours to complete but we couldn’t have done it without the help of Richard West who is a professional painter. He came out to the project and gave his time teaching the Youth how to properly prep, paint & clean up. His expertise in painting and his willingness to give of his time is priceless. |
